Policies are in order to insure efficient quality and outstanding services to all clients of
Tailor Fur You, LLC.
Unsatisfactory behavior can determine whether a dog can or will be finished by the stylist. Please understand that an unmanageable dog can be dangerous to themselves and the stylist. It is the owner’s responsibility to provide a healthy and groomable pet.
Every client is required to sign this Policy Agreement prior to any grooming services being performed.
I do hereby entrust my pet(s) to Tailor Fur You, LLC for the purpose of grooming my pet(s).

All pets must be up to date on Rabies Vaccination.

  • Requirement for vaccination 95.21(2)(a) Except as provided in s. 174.054 or sub. (9) (d), the owner of a dog shall have the dog vaccinated against rabies by a veterinarian or, if a veterinarian is physically present at the location the vaccine is administered, by a veterinary technician, pursuant to s. 89.05 (2) (d), at no later than 5 months of age and revaccinated within one year after the initial vaccination. If the owner obtains the dog or brings the dog into this state after the dog has reached 5 months of age, the owner shall have the dog vaccinated against rabies within 30 days after the dog is obtained or brought into the state unless the dog has been vaccinated as evidenced by a current certificate of rabies vaccination from this state or another state. The owner of a dog shall have the dog revaccinated against rabies by a veterinarian or, if a veterinarian is physically present at the location the vaccine is administered, by a veterinary technician, pursuant to s. 89.05 (2) (d), before the date that the immunization expires as stated on the certificate of vaccination or, if no date is specified, within 3 years after the previous vaccination.

Every effort will be made to provide a safe, minimal restraint experience. Dogs that exhibit extreme behaviors such as continuously struggling, biting, displaying extreme agitation or aggression may require soft muzzling for safety to themselves and the stylist. If a soft muzzle causes increased agitation or is not effective the pet will be returned to the owner unfinished at full price.

Pets must be healthy and be able to stand up on their own during the grooming process. Senior/disabled pets that need to sit or lay down during the grooming process will be groomed to the extent possible without causing discomfort to the pet or stylist. This may result in areas that are not able to be fully groomed. Breed specific cuts will not be provided in this situation and grooming will be for comfort and wellbeing only.

It is preferred that pets be on a maintenance schedule ranging from a 4 to 12 week cycle. If you choose to book an appointment without setting up a maintenance schedule, you could be postponed or canceled for someone who is willing to commit to a regular schedule.

Prices are non-negotiable. Payment is due at time of service. There is a $35 returned check fee plus any additional charges incurred by my bank.

Pet owners are responsible for any and all damages by their pets. This includes damages to the mobile grooming unit and/or groomer. Recently treated, suspected, or current flea infestation MUST be disclosed prior to the grooming appointment. Pets that display evidence of fleas including actual bugs or flea dirt will be administered a flea bath treatment. You will be charged $15 for the flea bath plus a $150 de-bug service fee in addition to the grooming fee with payment required within 5 days of service.

If your pet is matted, every effort is made to protect your pet’s skin and coat while removing the matt. However, you as the owner, agree to in no way hold Tailor Fur You, LLC responsible for any problems arising from grooming your matted pet. There will be an additional charge for pets with matted coats. Matted coats require dematt treatment prior to grooming. Severely matted coats may require a shave and start over groom which will be determined at time of service.

Pets with coats that are matted to the skin will be refused and referred to the veterinarian for a shave. Coats in this condition can cause skin to become extremely sensitive and incur clipper marks, abrasions, rashes, nicks, itchiness or redness from matt removal. Shaving extremely matted ears might also result in head shaking which can cause hematomas. Additionally, skin may have infestation or conditions requiring treatment that can only be assessed by a veterinarian.

Appointment time slots are approximate. Appointments may be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, mechanical malfunctions, traffic, or extended grooming times of an earlier appointment. In such cases, Tailor Fur You will contact you as soon as possible to inform you of the time adjustment.

Tailor Fur You reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to illness and/or extreme weather conditions as necessary year round. This is not only to protect our mobile unit but also for the safety of the pet and the stylist. You will be notified promptly to reschedule.

 Appointments are scheduled by route.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give 24-48 hours advance notice. Failure to do so will result in a $60 fee. Also, if your pet is not available for your scheduled appointment time, the same fee applies.

If you are not completely 100% satisfied with our services, please contact us within 24 hours after your appointment and we will do our best to resolve the issue.

Please have your pet ready at the scheduled appointment time.

Photos and/or videos may be taken during or after styling for use on Tailor Fur You, LLC’s website, Facebook or for any other marketing or advertising purposes.
